Can cancer be considered evidence of evolution?

From our knowledge about evolution, we know that it is based on natural selection, which means that better traits that are compatible with the environment continue, while other traits that are useless will go away. In this manner, every organism on this planet has evolved and will continue to evolve. Also, imagine the bacteria that infect you, these bugs can become resistant to the antibiotic you are taking due to some random mutations that occur in their DNA. The resistant bacteria continue to live and continue to infect you


So, we can say that organisms are evolving. How can cancer be evolving as well?
Well, malignant tumors have acquired some genetic changes that made these tumors survive in the human body causing more and more damage. The more genetic changes (mutations) acquired by the tumor, the more malignant it becomes and also harder to cure
What are some examples of these changes?
1. Rely on anaerobic glycolysis for energy. Explains why there is more lactic acid produced under hypoxic conditions than one would see in a normal cell
Since they don’t have a blood supply yet
2. Malignant cells with an increased growth rate
To avoid being killing by our immune system
3. Upregulation of decay accelerating factor (DAF) by malignant cells
1. DAF normally degrades C3 convertase and C5 convertase in the classical and alternative complement pathways .
2. The upregulation of DAF ensures that degradation of the convertases just mentioned preventing the formation of the membrane attack complex; therefore cancer cells cannot be killed by the immune system
4. Local invasion and metastasis

5 All malignant tumors require oxygen and nutrients to survive and do so by stimulating angiogenesis within the tumor and its metastatic sites.

That vaginas are the basis of human life. Not only because without a vagina you wouldn’t have been there, but also because without a vagina, something  else  wouldn’t have been there as well!
